  • Finca La Concepción Honey Process

Finca La Concepción, located in the Marcala region of Honduras, is the product of Manuel Pereira’s dedication to quality and innovation. Inspired by his father’s coffee farming legacy, Manuel, along with his wife Linda, runs this family operation with a focus on producing exceptional coffee.

Grown at an elevation of 1,655 meters, this coffee benefits from Marcala's unique micro-climate, where cool nights and warm days allow the cherries to mature slowly. This results in a naturally sweet taste with a smooth texture, highlighting the region's distinct terroir.

Manuel has mastered the art of honey processing, a method that enhances the coffee’s inherent sweetness. This batch, featuring Bourbon, Catuai, and Icatu varietals, offers rich notes of chocolate, honey, plum, and berries. The honey process preserves the sugars within the cherry, contributing to the coffee’s smooth, velvety texture and vibrant flavors.

Finca La Concepción exemplifies the perfect balance of tradition and innovation, reflecting Manuel’s commitment to continually improving his farm while maintaining sustainable practices. Each cup offers not only exceptional flavor but also a connection to a family deeply rooted in coffee culture.

Having a direct relationship with the producers themselves is an important factor that makes us stand out as a brand. We don't buy our coffee from an importer; we visit the origin at least four times a year, meeting with the producers and building lasting relationships. By cutting out the middleman, we ensure that each producer receives a just price. To us, that's what it's all about.
